Billyphobia.com have given the album a great review which you can read right here!
My favourite quote:
“Extremely infectious underground music made of energy-giving and harsh sounds that focuses on straightforward forcefulness to groove in goth without being a “…fucking scene whore”
Cheers to Billyphobia for the great review! :)

Currently Joffie, Pete and Tron are rehearsing for the upcoming gig at the Emergency Exit Festival in Austria this Easter. We hope to see some of you there.

That’s right – even Sainsburys are getting their Groove Goth on! :D (Although on a later date – 04/02/13 – I guess they need to get their insta-freeze hairspray and absinthe restocked in preparation ;) )
You can of course still buy it directly from the band instead if you click here!
Also – why not start the new year with a nice new Grooving in Green T-Shirt? It’ll be lovely, clean and hotter than the sun!

A T-Shirt, some reviews and a chart position too!

Pete has reliably informed me that the T-Shirts have been ordered- he is hoping to receive them early next week and will ship them out thereafter – some of you might have them in time for Christmas – just think of how happy Grandma will be to sport her new Stranglehold shirt on the big day! ;)

Another two Stranglehold reviews have shown up! The first review is here and the next review is here! Yes both are in German so any offers for a translation more accurate than google can offer would be appreciated- regardless many thanks to Spontis for the review and to Music Scan for their review!

For the last bit of news; Gothic Era had our track Stranglehold as their no.1 track of the month for November 2012!
They also have us down as band of the month and had this to say about us;
This is an English three-piece band whose genre is definitively Gothic Rock. Stranglehold is their second album, so it is their right time to impose their music and strengthen their feet down in gothland. So what is the truth about Gooving In Green? “Feels like there’s a truth that is never told”. Tron, Pete, Si: We wish you more melodies and more publicity because you already deserve it!
Many thanks to Gothic Era for the kind words!:)

Well then – one last reminder that Stranglehold is available on our Bandcamp page and if you are quick enough Postman Pete might get it to you in time for Christmas if you are within the UK! You can still also get MP3/FLAC/Whatever downloads of our first two EP’s and Post Traumatic Stress on the same Bandcamp page!

Til’ next year a Merry Christmas to all our fans – it’s been an eventful year in many ways with both the joys of releasing our second album and playing to great audiences in the UK and Europe- but there has also been the sad departure of Simon Manning too…
As for what is in store for next year – hopefully we’ll have some news early in 2013 provided the Mayans got it wrong ;)
Adios Muchachos!

Important Announcement

It is with regret that we have to announce that Si has left GIG with immediate effect. He has left as he feels he cannot commit fully due to distance and he also wants to put everything into his personal life. We wish him every success in everything. He was a valued member and it is sad to have to write this as things will not be the same without him.

GIG will be continuing and we will be playing Austria next year
